The coin portrays a coloured representation of one of Australia’s best-known marsupials – the wombat and its ‘joey’ with green vegetation. Other design elements include gum trees, birds and clouds. As well as the inscription ‘WOMBAT’, the reverse includes a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, and 2024 year-date.
The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination.
